Welcome to the NISD Staff Development eClasses Site

These courses are provided to you by the Organizational & Staff Development department. The courses are managed by the Online Staff Development Team.

• Instructional Assistants

  While online courses are primarily available to Classroom Teachers, an Instructional Assistant is welcome to take an online course with the permission of his or her Principal and a completed Staff Development Approval Form [see attachment]. Please be aware that no additional compensation will be provided or compensatory time accumulated since this activity is not a mandatory aspect of the job but strictly a voluntary decision made by the employee occupying an Instructional Assistant position or similar kindred non-exempt position. In addition, online courses can only be taken outside the work day and not during work hours in order to avoid causing any campus operational disruptions.
